Score 90+ in State Board: 90 Days Subject-Wise Plan

A subject-wise 90-day plan for State Board (SSC) 10th board exams. Here is a day-by-day strategy for Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and English from July to October exam.

Day 1-30: Mathematics Foundation

Algebra (Days 1-10)

  • Revise: Linear Equations in Two Variables, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Progression, Probability
  • Practice: 50+ problems per chapter
  • Make formula sheet: All identities, formulae, shortcuts

Geometry (Days 11-20)

  • Revise: Triangles, Circles, Constructions, Coordinate Geometry
  • Practice: 50+ construction problems, theorems
  • Make theorem list: With statements and diagrams

Coordinate Geometry (Days 21-30)

  • Revise: Distance formula, Section formula, Area of triangle
  • Practice: 20+ problems on each concept
  • Make formula sheet: Distance, section, area formulae

Day 31-60: Science Foundation

Physics (Days 31-45)

  • Complete: Motion, Force and Laws of Motion, Gravitation, Work and Energy, Sound, Lighter Topics
  • Make summary notes (1 page per chapter)
  • Practice: 20+ numerical problems per chapter

Chemistry (Days 46-60)

  • Complete: Chemical Reactions, Acids, Bases and Salts, Metals and Non-metals, Carbon and Its Compounds, Lighter Topics
  • Make summary notes (1 page per chapter)
  • Practice: Balance 50+ chemical equations

Day 61-90: Social Science & English

Social Science (Days 61-75)

  • History: Revise all chapters, make mind maps, focus on important dates/events and causes/effects
  • Geography: Revise all chapters, make map work practice (India + Maharashtra outline maps), focus on key concepts and map points
  • Civics: Revise all chapters, focus on Fundamental Rights, Duties, Constitution, Government schemes

English (Days 76-90)

  • Read all literature chapters (as per State Board syllabus) - understand themes, characters, plots
  • 1 comprehension passage daily
  • 5 new vocabulary words daily
  • 1 essay + 1 letter per week (timed, as per State Board pattern)
  • Grammar rule revision (20 rules, as per State Board syllabus)

Mathematics:

  • Revise all 8 chapters with formula sheets
  • Solve last 5 years’ board papers (5 papers)
  • Appear for 4 mock tests (80 marks each)
  • Maintain error log (50+ entries)
  • Score 90+ in board exam

Science:

  • Complete all 3 Science subjects (Physics + Chemistry + Biology)
  • Make summary notes (3 pages)
  • Appear for 4 mock tests (80 marks each)
  • Memorise 20+ key diagrams
  • Score 90+ in board exam

Social Science:

  • Complete History + Geography + Civics
  • Make mind maps + map work practice (India + Maharashtra outline maps)
  • Appear for 2 mock tests (50 marks each)
  • Memorise 20+ important dates/events + 20+ map points (India + Maharashtra)
  • Score 90+ in board exam

English:

  • Read all literature chapters (as per State Board syllabus)
  • Comprehend 50+ passages + 50+ new vocab words (meaning + sentence usage)
  • Appear for 2 English papers (as per State Board pattern)
  • Memorise essay/letter formats (as per State Board pattern) + 20 grammar rules
  • Score 90+ in board exam

Scoring Strategy per Subject

Mathematics (80 marks)

  • Algebra (20 marks): 5 questions (1+2+3+4+5 marks)
  • Geometry (20 marks): 4-5 questions (theorem + construction + proof)
  • Coordinate Geometry (10 marks): 2 questions
  • Trigonometry (10 marks): 2 questions
  • Mensuration (10 marks): 2 questions
  • Statistics and Probability (10 marks): 2 questions

Target: Attempt 13 questions (select internal choices wisely) = 52+ marks → 90+ with moderate Social Science/English performance

Science (80 marks theory)

Physics (25 marks):

  • Motion (8 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Force and Laws of Motion (8 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Gravitation (6 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Work and Energy (6 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Sound (4 marks): 1 question

Chemistry (25 marks):

  • Chemical Reactions and Equations (8 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Acids, Bases and Salts (8 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Metals and Non-metals (6 marks): 1 question
  • Carbon and Its Compounds (12 marks): 2-3 questions
  • Lighter Topics (6 marks): 1-2 questions (Our Environment, etc.)

Biology (25 marks):

  • Life Processes (10 marks): 2-3 questions (diagrams: photosynthesis, excretion, circulation)
  • Control and Coordination (8 marks): 1-2 questions (nervous system, hormonal system)
  • How do Organisms Reproduce? (8 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Heredity and Evolution (8 marks): 1-2 questions (Mendel’s laws, evolution)
  • Lighter Topics (6 marks): 1-2 questions (Our Environment, etc.)

Target: Attempt 20+ questions with 70% accuracy = 56+ marks → 90+ with moderate other subjects

Social Science (80 marks)

History (30 marks):

  • The First Civilisations (10 marks): 2-3 questions
  • The Vedic Period and Kingdoms (10 marks): 2-3 questions
  • The Medieval Period and British Rule (10 marks): 2-3 questions

Geography (30 marks):

  • India - Our Land (15 marks): 3-4 questions + map work (8 marks) - India outline map: mountains, rivers, plateaus, major cities
  • India - Resource (15 marks): 3-4 questions

Civics (20 marks):

  • Democratic Politics (10 marks): 2-3 questions
  • Social Justice and Government Schemes (10 marks): 1-2 questions

Target: Attempt 25+ questions with 70% accuracy = 56+ marks → 90+ with moderate other subjects

English (80 marks)

Section A: Reading (20 marks)

  • Comprehension passage (10 marks)
  • MCQ-based questions (10 marks)

Section B: Writing and Grammar (20 marks)

  • Essay writing (8 marks) - as per State Board format
  • Letter writing (8 marks) - as per State Board format
  • Grammar (4 marks) - as per State Board syllabus

Section C: Literature (40 marks)

  • Prose and Poetry (20 marks) - as per State Board syllabus
  • Supplementary Reader (20 marks) - as per State Board syllabus

Target: Score 56+ in Writing + Literature + Reading = 80+ → 90+ with moderate other subjects
