Score 90+ in CBSE Board: 90 Days Subject-Wise Plan

A subject-wise 90-day plan for CBSE 10th board exams. Here is a day-by-day strategy for Mathematics, Science, Social Science, and English from July to October exam.

Day 1-30: Mathematics Foundation

Algebra (Days 1-10)

  • Revise: Polynomials, Pair of Linear Equations in Two Variables, Quadratic Equations, Arithmetic Progression
  • Practice: 50+ problems per chapter (focus on 3-mark and 4-mark questions)
  • Make formula sheet: All identities, quadratic formula, AP formulas

Geometry (Days 11-20)

  • Revise: Triangles (similarity, Pythagoras), Circles (tangent, chord, area), Coordinate Geometry (distance, section formula), Trigonometry (identities, heights and distances)
  • Practice: 50+ problems per chapter (focus on 4-mark and 5-mark questions)
  • Make theorem list: With statements and diagrams (essential for 5-mark questions)

Trigonometry (Days 21-30)

  • Revise: Trigonometric ratios, identities, heights and distances, angles of elevation and depression
  • Practice: 50+ problems (focus on word problems, 2-mark and 3-mark questions)
  • Make formula sheet: All identities, trigonometric values for 0°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 90°

Day 31-60: Science Foundation

Physics (Days 31-45)

  • Complete: Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Electric Current, Electromagnetic Induction, Optics (Ray Optics, Wave Optics)
  • Make summary notes (1 page per chapter, key formulae and diagrams)
  • Practice: 20+ numerical problems per chapter (focus on 3-mark and 5-mark questions)

Chemistry (Days 46-60)

  • Complete: Chemical Reactions and Equations, Acids, Bases and Salts, Metals and Non-metals, Carbon and Its Compounds, Biomolecules, Environmental Chemistry
  • Make summary notes (1 page per chapter, key reactions and equations)
  • Practice: Balance 50+ chemical equations, practise numerical problems (mole concept, pH scale)

Day 61-90: Social Science & English

Social Science (Days 61-75)

  • History: Revise all chapters (The Rise of Nationalism, The Global Age, Age of Industrialisation, etc.) - focus on important dates/events, causes and effects, key personalities
  • Geography: Revise all chapters (Resources and Development, Forest Resources, Water Resources, Agriculture, Mineral Resources, Manufacturing Industries, Lifelines of National Economy) - focus on important concepts, formulae, map work
  • Civics: Revise all chapters (Power Sharing, Federalism, Democracy and Diversity, Gender, Religion and Caste, Political Parties, Outcomes of Democracy) - focus on important concepts, Constitution articles, key differences

English (Days 76-90)

  • Read all Flamingo chapters (Prose + Poetry) and Vistas (Supplementary) - understand themes, characters, plots
  • 1 comprehension passage daily (increase speed)
  • 5 new vocabulary words daily (meaning, sentence usage)
  • 1 essay + 1 letter per week (timed, 35+40 minutes)
  • Grammar rule revision (20 rules, with 10 practice questions each)

Mathematics:

  • Revise all chapters (Algebra + Geometry + Trigonometry) with formula sheets
  • Solve last 5 years’ CBSE board papers (5 papers)
  • Appear for 4 mock tests (80 marks each)
  • Maintain error log (50+ entries)
  • Score 90+ in board exam

Science:

  • Complete all 3 Science subjects (Physics + Chemistry + Biology)
  • Make summary notes (3 pages)
  • Appear for 4 mock tests (80 marks each)
  • Memorise 20+ key diagrams + 20+ important formulae
  • Score 90+ in board exam

Social Science:

  • Complete all History + Geography + Civics chapters
  • Make mind maps + key dates/events + map work practice
  • Appear for 2 mock tests (80 marks each, as per CBSE pattern)
  • Memorise important dates/events + Constitution articles + map points
  • Score 90+ in board exam

English:

  • Read all Flamingo + Vistas chapters (understand themes, characters, plots)
  • Comprehend 50+ passages + 50+ new vocab words (meaning + sentence usage)
  • Appear for 2 English papers (80 marks each)
  • Memorise 5 essay topics + 5 letter formats + 20 grammar rules + 10 comprehension passages
  • Score 90+ in board exam

Mathematics (80 marks)

  • Algebra (20 marks): 5 questions (1+2+3+4+5 marks)
  • Geometry (16 marks): 4 questions (theorem + construction + proof)
  • Trigonometry (12 marks): 3 questions (identities + heights/distances)
  • Coordinate Geometry (8 marks): 2 questions
  • Mensuration (10 marks): 2 questions
  • Statistics and Probability (10 marks): 2 questions

Target: Attempt 13 questions (select internal choices wisely) = 52+ marks → 90+ with moderate other subjects

Science (80 marks theory)

Physics (25 marks):

  • Electrostatics (8 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Current Electricity (8 marks): 1-2 numerical questions
  • Magnetic Effects of Electric Current (8 marks): 1-2 questions + diagram
  • Optics (7 marks): 1-2 questions + diagram
  • Electromagnetic Induction (4 marks): 1 question

Chemistry (25 marks):

  • Chemical Reactions and Equations (8 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Acids, Bases and Salts (8 marks): 1-2 questions
  • Metals and Non-metals (6 marks): 1 question
  • Carbon and Its Compounds (15 marks): 2-3 questions (organic chemistry, importance of carbon)
  • Biomolecules and Environmental Chemistry (6 marks): 1-2 questions

Target: Attempt 20+ questions with 70% accuracy = 56+ marks → 90+ with moderate other subjects

Social Science (80 marks)

History (30 marks):

  • The Rise of Nationalism in Europe (10 marks): 2-3 questions
  • The Global Age (10 marks): 2-3 questions
  • Age of Industrialisation (10 marks): 2-3 questions

Geography (30 marks):

  • Resources and Development (15 marks): 3-4 questions + map work
  • Forest Resources, Water Resources, Agriculture, Mineral Resources, Manufacturing Industries, Lifelines of National Economy (15 marks): 3-4 questions each

Civics (20 marks):

  • Power Sharing (5 marks): 1 question
  • Federalism (10 marks): 2 questions
  • Democracy and Diversity, Gender, Religion and Caste, Political Parties, Outcomes of Democracy (10 marks): 2-3 questions

Target: Attempt 25+ questions with 70% accuracy = 60+ marks → 90+ with moderate other subjects

English (80 marks)

Section A: Reading (20 marks)

  • Comprehension passage (10 marks)
  • MCQ-based questions (10 marks)

Section B: Writing and Grammar (20 marks)

  • Essay writing (8 marks)
  • Letter writing (8 marks)
  • Grammar (4 marks)

Section C: Literature (40 marks)

  • Flamingo (Prose + Poetry) (20 marks)
  • Vistas (Supplementary) (20 marks)

Target: Score 56+ in Writing + Literature + Reading = 80+ → 90+ with moderate other subjects
